How C‑Stack fits together

Every piece hands off to the next, so you enter things once. A takeoff becomes a priced estimate. An approved estimate or a new work order gets its job number automatically. Work orders turn into invoices with the materials and labor already filled in.

Clocked time also flows to Time → Payroll. Nothing gets typed twice.

1Set up once

Your prices, your logo, your fields

Add the services and materials you charge for under Saved items, your price book. Upload your logo in Branding, and set your default sales tax and markup in Invoice settings. Do it once, and every estimate and invoice after that uses it.

2Takeoff

Count it and measure it right on the plans

Upload your plans (a PDF with several sheets works) or a photo from the field. Click Set scale on a known dimension, then use Count to click each device and Measure length to trace runs. Find similar spots every copy of a symbol on the page for you. C‑Stack keeps the totals as you go. When you’re done, hit Send to estimate.

3Estimate

Your counts come over as line items, priced your way

Every counted item and measured run lands on a new estimate as its own line with the quantity already filled in. You set the price: pick the matching item from your Saved items so your price fills in, or type your number. Add labor, then email or text the customer a link. They look it over on their phone and click Approve. No login, no printing.

4Job numbers

Every job gets a number automatically

When a customer approves an estimate, C‑Stack creates the job and gives it the next job number. Service calls work the same way: create a work order and it gets a job number on the spot. Your numbering stays in order and you never have to track it.

5Work orders

Dispatch it, and your crew handles it from their phones

Take the call, create the work order, assign your techs and put it on the schedule. Techs see only their own work. They clock in and out from the job, add photos, and write up the work performed and materials used. Moving it to Scheduled or Completed updates everyone.

6Invoice

One click turns the work order into an invoice

Send a finished work order to invoicing and the invoice fills itself in. What the tech wrote becomes the scope of work, each material becomes a line item priced from your saved items, and each tech’s clocked time becomes a labor line. Your markup stays hidden in the prices; sales tax shows clearly.

7Get paid

Customers pay by card from a text, and late payers get reminded

Email the invoice link and your customer pays by card on their phone. The money goes straight to your own Stripe account; C‑Stack takes no cut. Unpaid invoices get friendly automatic reminders. If a customer wants to see what was done, attach the work order to the invoice.

The same clock-ins run your payroll

Approve the week’s time entries and payroll totals itself, with each tech’s hours and pay at their rate. PTO requests come in from the app too. Export it for whoever runs your checks.
